Ms. Fox is the Director of Publications and Communications at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. She serves as Managing Editor of the bi-monthly journal Health Security (former Biosecurity and Bioterrorism), the leading peer-reviewed journal in this field..
Prior to joining the Center in March 2004, she was Executive Editor and Director of US Journals for Oxford University Press (1996 to 2003). At OUP, she managed the publication of all US-based journals, with primary responsibility for journals published in the scientific and medical fields, including the American Journal of Epidemiology, Public Health Reports, Journal of Urban Health, and Toxicological Sciences.
With more than 40 years of experience in the publishing field, Ms. Fox has served as the Director of Publications for the American Public Health Association and as the Director of Publications for the American Occupational Therapy Association, as well as working in publications at the American Counseling Association and the American Society of Association Executives. She has a BA in communications from the Notre Dame of Maryland University and is a member of the Council of Science Editors.
