Professional Profile

Ms. Vasudevan is a Communications Officer at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. She assists in planning and implementing the Center’s communications activities and in tracking the impact of the Center’s research and policy activities. She is passionate about translating evidence into policy and action.

Prior to joining the Center in August 2020, she specialized in vaccine policy, advocacy, and communications for 5 years at the Johns Hopkins International Vaccine Access Center, where she focused on childhood routine immunization in India and global older adult immunization. Prior to working in public health, she conducted microbiology and immunology research for 5 years.

Ms. Vasudevan is currently pursuing a DrPH in global health at The George Washington University. She has a MS in biological sciences from the University of Maryland and a MSPH in global disease epidemiology and control from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she also earned a certificate in vaccine science and policy. She also earned a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
