Tom Inglesby, MD, Testifies at Senate Hearing

Tom Inglesby, MD, Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, testified today before the Senate Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities on the subject of Biological Threats to US National Security. Dr. Inglesby noted the growing threat of biological events that can emerge from nature, deliberate attack, or accidental release and reviewed current US government efforts in this arena. He presented recommendations to improve the government’s response to and preparedness for a major biological event. See his complete testimony here.
