Baltimore Action Projects

SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs) identify academic-yearlong projects connected to the five Bloomberg American Health Initiative priority areas. Students are competitively selected to collaborate on CBO projects.

Baltimore Community Practicum

SOURCE’s flagship service-learning course at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs) identify projects that are completed in partnership with a graduate student from the BSPH.

Community Outreach Program

Each year, a cohort of Johns Hopkins nursing students commit to working with SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs) on direct service activities pertaining to community health.

Connection Community Consultants

Small teams of volunteer consultants work on short-term projects identified by SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs).

HEAT Corps

Volunteers from across Johns Hopkins University are trained and supported to provide health education and training sessions to K-12 youth.

HIV Counseling & Testing Program

An annual cohort of student volunteers from the JHU health professional schools are trained as HIV counselors and testers in the state of Maryland, and commit to serving as volunteers at participating community sites.

SOURCE Service Scholars

SOURCE partnering community-based organizations (CBOs) develop academic-yearlong projects that are supported by student project managers from across the JHU health professional schools.

 

SOURCE Service-Learning Academy

Each year, a competitively-selected cohort of faculty and community leaders are trained together in critical service-learning pedagogy.
